A small shop, a short list.
Hollister Surf Club makes a small number of very good things for people who spend more time in the water than they probably should.
It started the way most of these do — a handful of friends, a garage full of foam dust, and a running argument about rail shape that has still not been settled. Somewhere in there we started shaping for other people, then screening shirts to pay for resin, and eventually it stopped being a hobby.
We never wanted to be a big brand. Big brands need seasons, and seasons need filler. Instead we make a short list of things: a couple of board outlines we believe in, suits warm enough for the cold months, and cotton heavy enough to outlast the trend that inspired it.
Everything is made in short runs. When a run sells out it stays out until the next one is genuinely ready, which is sometimes weeks and sometimes longer. We'd rather tell you to wait than sell you something we rushed.
Shaped by hand
Every board is shaped and glassed in-house. No pop-outs, no overseas blanks with our sticker on them. If it has our name on the stringer, one of us made it.
Small runs only
We make what we can make properly. That means limited numbers, occasional sell-outs, and a restock when the next batch is genuinely ready.
Built to get used
Nothing here is designed for a shelf. Heavy cotton, honest neoprene, hardware that survives salt. It should look worse and work the same in five years.
